It's official...
...we are the parents of a 3 year old and a 1 year old! Where did the last year go??? It feels like I was just pregnant! Cade had a sports theme for his 1st birthday. He had a great time...happy and laughing his entire party, which is how he is all the time. He LOVES cake, which you can tell by the pictures. After that, we put him right in the bathtub, clothes and all, and Chris took the high chair outside and hosed it down. Cade got a lot of great gifts...tonka trucks (of course), a mailbox, clothes, a big tonka truck that he can ride on, and a wagon for the boys for outside! He also got a booster chair for the kitchen chair like Chase's and now we can get rid of the high chair (YEAH)! Chase picked out a car carrier for Cade for his birthday a few weeks ago and was so excited to give it to him. He said it is for him and Cade to play with together! Its was adorable!! Both boys had a great time at the party and thank you, thank you, thank you everyone for everything! It was a great first birthday. July has been a busy month...my mom was off for a week, LaChelle and Bailey came and spent a week and Roger, Colleen, and Bailey came for the party. The week my mom was off, we took the boys to the lakefront. The Circus Parade was in town and they had all the wagons set up, some of the animals out, and a lot of other activities for the kids. The highlight for Chase was the diggers that were there and also the fire truck, which he got to sit in! He also went on his first kiddie ride by himself and also got his face painted for the first time, a train of course! When Bailey and LaChelle came, we went to the zoo and played a lot in the backyard on the slip-n-slide and in the pool. Thank you guys for coming!! It was so much fun!! Chase also had a big month...he got his first bike! He picked it out all by himself, along with his spiderman helmet, which once you get it on him, he doesn't want to take off. He is doing a really good job on his bike! He loves to take walks and ride his bike while Mommy and Daddy push Cade in the stoller. Cade got his first pair of Crocs and also his first haircut. He did a great job for his haircut, but looks like such a little boy now...where did my little baby go??? Cade also seems to think he didn't turn 1, but that he turned 3. He thinks that we can do everything that Chase can do! He adores his big brother, and you can tell that he wants to do everything that Chase does. He is a very determined little boy and most of the time succeeds, but not before scaring that you know what out of his parents. He is walking now like he has been walking his entire life. It is turning into a run now, which once that is mastered, we are in serious trouble! All in all, everyone is great! Chris and I are enjoying our week vacation...the kids are at Grandma and Grandpa Zemans' for the week! Bailey is also spending the week at their house, so the house is full of laughter! They are having a great time so far, but we do miss them! It is way too quiet at home! Our anniversary is actually tomorrow, 2 years already, and we are going to Great America for the day to celebrate. We are then going to the Brewer's game on Thursday then heading to the Cities to see friends and for a wedding, then to pick up the kids on Sunday! Hope everyone is doing well and see some of you in a few days!

It has been a busy month...
...and I don't know where to begin!! Well, in May, both of my brothers graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Kory graduated with a Business degree, his emphasis being Accounting and is working for Johnson Controls in Milwaukee. Kyle graduated with a degree in Architecture and is working for Perspective Designs in Milwaukee. We are all so proud of them...they did it in 4 years! Next, Chase and Cade went on their first trip to the Milwaukee County Zoo and more importantly, their first train ride at the Zoo. They of course both loved it! Chase also got to feed the goats, which he loved. The craziest news of all is that Cade started walking a week ago and he has pretty much mastered it. It was a rough go during the learning process (if you can't tell by all the bruises on his head from falling), but it really only took him a few days to really get it down and now, he is a little guy on a mission. He also has learned to go down the stairs, couch and every other thing he climbs on feet first. The child has no fear at all. Yesterday, he decided to ride the zebra, but in Cade style, standing instead of sitting on it. While standing, he started to shake it and bounce on it. It was adorable, and he got down all by himself. Last weekend, Chris' cousin got married and we got to see all of his aunts, uncles and cousins from out of town. We also got to meet some new members of the family and introduce Cade to the family. We tried to take a family picture and picture of the boys together, but getting both kids to look is a challenge and here are the results! They may not be looking, but the pictures are adorable. Chris' mom bought them matching outfits for the wedding...thank you Colleen...they looked adorable! The next day, we all got to go to Chris' aunt and uncle's farm and let me tell you, Chase was in heaven! He got to ride tractors and pet the cows (they have a dairy farm). We all had a great time there. So, that is our summer so far. We spend our days going to the park, playing in the yard and if it will ever get nice out, we hope to set up the pool and slip-n-slide soon! Hope everyone is having a great summer!

So, it has been a while and I am sorry about that, but we have had a busy few weeks! Chase is officially potty trained, yeah!! It only took him about a week and he is doing a great job! The other day I was folding laundry in the bedroom and walked out into the living room and couldn't find Chase. I called him and heard a "yeah mom" from the bathroom and there he was sitting on the toilet going "uckies" as he calls it! It is so cute seeing little Chase sitting on the big potty, but of course, he goes potty like a man (if you know what I mean)! He has also switched to boxer briefs from just briefs and they are the cutest things ever. And Mr. Cade, he actually took two steps today! He was standing in the middle of the living room and I called him over to me and he took two steps before he fell into me! He is so close and we are so excited...I think Chase is the most excited of all of us though. Whenever Cade walks with his walker, he cheers for him! It is the most adorable thing ever. Cade has also made the official switch to big people food. His favorites are bagels, bread and graham crackers and of course bananas. He is also getting a little bit of whole milk during the day to get use to the taste when he switches to that from breast milk at a year. The doctor gave us the go ahead at his last appointment to start giving him a little and he is doing great with it! He actually is sleeping a lot better too...8 hour stretches now!!! At his appointment he was almost 19 pounds and 28 inches. He is doing really well!! Chase of course wanted to be examined at Cade's appointment too (Chase loves the doctor). We are having computer problems so I am not able to put up pictures now, but I will hopefully be able to in the next few days! Hope all is well with everyone!

BIG WEEK!!
It has been a very big week in the Zeman household! Chase started potty training and is doing a phenomenol job!! He started to wear underwear on Monday and hasn't looked back. You know what that means...no more buying diapers! For those of you with kids, you know how big of a deal that is!! Chase got treats (matchbox cars) each time he told us that he had to go and went. After only a few days, he was going in the bathroom by himself and going, without even telling us. He has been doing that consistantly now, with very few accidents. He got to go and pick out underwear that he wanted last weekend....picking out Handy Manny, Bob the Builder, and Toy Story. We are so proud of him and can't believe how quickly he is catching on and how great of a job he has done so far and continues to do everyday! Cade is doing well too. He is so close to walking it is crazy! He is walking couch to couch and from the couch to the table. It is so cute watching him learn. Chase cheers when he walks across the living room with his walker. It is so cute. He is also starting to stand longer without holding onto anything...so the day is near and we can't wait!! He is still flying up stairs and follows Chase everywhere he goes..it is so cute!! They are definitely going to be the best of friends! Hope everyone is well!!!

I promise to get better at this....

Ok, so I know it has been almost 2 months since we have posted anything and I am totally guilty for that. We have been so busy that I really don't know where those 2 months went. We are finally all healthy and hoping that the weather stays nice...we are all sick of being stuck in the house. We actually spent the last 3 days outside. We went to the park, on walks, played with friends, played in the sandbox and let me tell you, the fresh air did a number on the kids. They have been sleeping like crazy. When we went on a walk the other day, Chase had to push Cade in the stroller...it was so adorable. With Cade getting older, they have been playing together alot more and Cade actually got his first brother injury (teeth to the forehead) when they were "wrestling" the other day. Not much new with Chase...he is just so excited to be getting outside again. We just bought a kid size basketball hoop for him and he loves it. His other favorite things to do are play baseball, ride his cars and in true boy form, he loves to find rocks. He is talking so much...it is so much fun just listening to what he comes up with to say. He is hours of entertainment. Cade on the other hand, he has had a lot going on. He is fully recovered from his surgery and is doing great. He has started to climb the stairs all on his own, and he has turned into a speed walker (with his walker of course). The other day he was standing at the table and he let go and just stood there for about 10 seconds (holding onto nothing) before he fell to a sitting position. He is also a very determined, curious little boy. Don't get in his way if he is determined to get there and trust me, even if you do, he will find a way to get there. We have bets that he will be walking by June, which would be really nice. Chris is doing well too. His job is crazy as usual, but is growing like crazy!!! We are so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. Again, I promise to get better at this!!! At least once a week is my goal, so check often. Hope all is well with everyone!!!

The 3 year/7 month update...
February has been an extremely busy month for our family!! We are now the parents of a THREE year old...yes, Chase turned 3 on the 13th!! We don't know where the time went either. He had a Thomas the Train birthday party with family and friends and we all had a great time. He is talking non-stop and we have to be extremely careful what we say around him (if you know what I mean). He LOVES being a big brother and is like a little mother to Cade...he keeps an extra special eye on Cade, making sure that he doesn't play with any of his toys and of course, Chase's matchbox cars are Cade's favorite! He has no interest in baby toys...he wants to play with the same toys that Chase plays with. They both went to the doctor (together for the first time) and did a great job. Chase loves going to the doctor. Ever since he was a baby, he has been the model patient. He got his flu shot a few months ago and didn't even flinch! He is 3 feet tall and a tiny 27 lbs, but still on the charts at 10%-25%! We are going to start potty training in the next few weeks so wish us luck. It is so cute, before he takes his bath, he gets his stool and goes potty like a big boy, standing up of course! It is adorable. Cade is doing well. He had surgery last week and did a great job! He is healing well and doesn't have to have any more surgery, which is a relief! It was a tough day, more for us then him, but everything went really well. He is crawling EVERYWHERE and is starting to pull himself up on things. Today, we found him standing in his crib! Before you know it, he is going to be walking, well if he is anything like Chase, he will be running. He is a very curious little guy and loves to be around people and Chase of course. He is eating really well. He loves his fruits, but isn't taking too well to veggies so we are still working on those. He eats 3 containers of food a day to keep up with how much he is moving around. We also started using a sippy cup and he is starting to get the hang of it! He also got his first tooth over the weekend...his lower right tooth and today, he got his lower left one. Breastfeeding is going to be interesting now :)! At the doctor, he was 16lbs 10oz and 27 inches long. He slowed down in his growth but his head grew a lot more, which is what happens when they start moving around more, according to the doctor. All in all, things are good here! The kids keep us on our toes and everyday is an adventure with them...it is so much fun!!
